Hi all,

I have a Cassiopeia E-115 and the Socket BT Card. I know the card works in this device since I can flawlessly connect to my Nokia 6310i (Mobile Internet RULES! :-)). My desktop computer (running WinXP Professional) has a USB Bluetooth dongle made by Extended Systems / Windigo Software, so it's kind of a "no name" device.

The funny thing is, I had it working, but only once, a few days ago. I'm running out of my nerves, since I'm trying desperately to get it working again.
The virtual COM ports are:
COM3 - Serial,
COM4 - Dial-Up,
COM5 - LAN Access,
COM6 - Fax.
Null modem cables (in Windows) are at COM3 and COM5, both set to 115k / 8/1/none / hardware flow control.
According to Windows Device Manager, all drivers are working.

I should add that I tap the bluetooth icon on the TODAY screen, then "Bluetooth ActiveSync". Under Start->Settings->Connections->PC it says "`Wireless ActiveSync".

Please, what am I missing???

Thanx in advance for any help,

greetz

Your problem may well be that too many services are trying to grab your bluetooth serial port.

Disable LAN Access and Dial-up and see if that makes any difference. Make sure activesync is looking at the right serial port as well (ie the Bluetooth serial port rather than any physical serial ports)

Make sure activesync on the PPC is set to use Bluetooth activesync otherwise you'll be continually hunting on the cable port.

HTH
