To begin with, I am running Palm Desktop 4.0 for Mac OS X. Everything had been working fine for me until recently, though I don't know what the catalyst was for this to happen.

My problem is, the HotSync option in my HotSync Manager is always set to "disabled" as a default, which forces me to run the program and select "enabled" EVERY time I synch my Palm Vx with my Mac after booting up. Needless to say this is a MAJOR hassle. How can I set this to "enabled" and lock it in as the default? I thought that selecting that made that change, but I see now that that was wrong. Please help, since I can't seem to access Palm's site (except for sales, naturally).

I am not quite sure what you mean by "disabled." In my HotSync Manager there is no option that I see like this. Try looking in the program's help file. There may be an option such as "set as default" that is hidden or you are overlooking.

...selecting "Enable HotSync Software at system startup"? (Or however it's worded.)

It's an option in Mac OS X under HotSync Manager--HotSync--Setup.

That, and are you syncing via cradle/cable or attempting a BT sync? I ask so that you make sure the USB connection settings are on for PalmConnect and USB."

Hope this helps.
