Hi Guys
Does anyone know where i can find the colour patch for simcity.
Eric Lindsay and Niel Thompson have websites describing the colour patch and have links to it but they do not seem to work anymore.
I'm also looking for the patch for other series5 software like rmrzip etc.
Can anyone help?
Thank you

Kenny,
I have a copy of the patch at home so I'll email it to you tomorrow evening (I'm away at the moment) if you send me a private message giving me your email address.
What patch are you looking for regarding RMRZip? It works as-is on my netBook?

Kenny,
I wasn't aware that there was a colour patch for RMRZip. You could always email Al Richey at RMR (support@rmrsoft.com) and ask him for one but since one is not mentioned on their site you might be out of luck.
I don't have ICQ set up so could you email me at newsgroup.address@thesoftwaremill.com and I'll turn off the usual anti-spam measures for a while. Can I use the email address in your signature?

Kenny,
I owe you an apology!
There is a colour patch for RMRZip which was created by a third party. Sadly this seems to be no longer available (their site has disappeared) but Martin Guthrie who is currently colourising icons has a copy and will make it available once he is back from a business trip.
I'll be making another post in this board about the colourisation project so you might want to have a look at that.

Is this a patch that makes the program color or is this for a color icon? I would like to see the old simcity I bought for my 5MX in color. Seems like the makers have removed themselves form the Epoc platform.
Thanks,
John

Hi John,
The zip file on my site contains a number of things:
o An upgrade to v1.1 of SimCity (needs v1.0 installed)
o A colour upgrade SIS containing both patching utility and colour image files.
o A replacement .aif file.
So yes, it will upgrade any previous bought commercial version of SimCity for EPOC. :)
Actually I'm seriously contemplating adding all the Atelier programs to my 'Lost & Found' page... They no longer appear to be commercially available anywhere and Atelier won't bother responding to my emails! :(

It's nothing to do with the Colour patch, but SimCity on the Netbook has an annoying bug, where enabling the sounds causes scrolling with the stylus to go bananas.
BTW, someone definitely claimed you could still buy Atalier's EDU prog from some web site or other.

Works like a charm! Do you also happen to have a patch to keep kids away from my netBook? Now SimCity is in color I keep finding my netBook in the little hands.

Yes, I remembered that Chris. However, I've done quite a few web searches for places actually selling it for new. There are a few sites listing it as available for download - but when you actually click through they state 'product not available' or similar.
I think it's far to say that Atelier's EPOC software is - for all intents and purposes - no longer available. However, my concern with SimCity is that EA Games own some of the copyright and may not be happy about it being distributed...
Of course, EDU and Calligrapher may be a different matter.
