I currently have a 950 through Cingular but have a 6710 on its way from T-Mobile. Can the T-Mobile 6710 send PIN messages to 950/957 pagers on Cingular or only to other T-Mobile Blackberrys? If you *can* PIN message between carriers, does delivery confirmation work? If anyone has a blackberry with T-Mobile and would be willing to try it out with me, my PIN is 15694411.

The 950/957 device must have Service Pack 4 on it to receive Pin messages from a Java device. Delivery confirmation will work.

Service Pack 4 for 2.1, that is. There is/was a Service Pack 4 for 2.0, but it's the 2.1 SP4 that's needed in this situation.

Everyone in my company and other friends I know that have the 950 have Interactive Messaging Plus through Cingular - not the Exchange version. The latest handheld software is v2.1 SP2.

A user of this board sent a PIN message to me from his 6710. The message came through fine, but I can not reply. My 950 gives the error "No known service can manage this reply!". The only reply information that came through was his name and his PIN number, which has 7 numbers followed by a letter. Mine is all numbers. I'm interested to know if he got delivery confirmation or not on the message.

So I guess right now there is no way to PIN message back and forth between the non-corporate 95x and the T-Mobile 6710? The only reason I want to do this is for the delivery confirmation.
