Hi Syurku- I hope you don't mind me jumping in on your thread, as I too have a huge error that involves a .dll
My problem is I have upgraded from palv to m515. I had installed the palm software programon both home and office pc, and used hotsynch with no probs under palm v. Now, I have the 4.1 OS and m515 installed on my office pc, no problems. However, i can't get a clean install at home. The there are several symptoms...ie the MS install wizard doesn't find the new hardware, there is no PDA shown in the device manager listing, eyc eyc.
However, there is an error message when I do the install to the PC. 'the device failed to install due to an error' message pops up- but offers no recourse. Another telling error message appears and dissapears way to quickly for me to read when I reboot...it starts to say something about the 'application failed to ....due to a dll.......' and thats about all i see as it reboots.
This is the only program I have an error with, so I know its related to the install failure. I am using MSwin2000 professional.
And even trying to use the install wiz to pick from a list on installing hardware '(palmpda') the install wiz just sits there after repeatedly clicking on 'palmpda'
I have uninstalled, rebooted, cleaned all palm apps off my pc, even uplugged the pda, usb etc..
I am not sure if this is a Microsoft issue as i have had no other install problems. I am convinced it is a palm install error.
Anyhelp would be appreciated

Hi Garyathome, thanks for that.
I have managed to solve my problem. I rang up the 0800 number and got Sydney support staff to help. Next time around they're going to charge me she says...grrreoww
Anyway the problem was with OS4.01 that came with the package. So they got me to upgrade to 4.1 downloaded from their site. You need to uninstall the old OS and reboot then install the new 4.1 version. Its now working fine for me.

Hi- that was my thought too; download new drivers in case there is something corrupted in the install.
I will try your suggestion, and if it doesn't work, I'll post this thread to a moderator. THANKS :)
