I'm having one hell of a time with my Palms. There are two of us who use the same PC for hot syncs and desktop use - my CLIE T665 and her Palm IIIc. Both Palm and Sony swear that both units can use the same computer, but it ain't working and no one at either Palm or Sony seems to be able to figure this out.
The Palm IIIc uses a serial port and my CLIE uses USB. I have the Sony USB switcher downloaded. I have been able to hotsync the CLIE, having loaded a couple of things and imported the other user's address book and date book information. Since then, though, I haven't been able to update any of the other Palm OS functions with a hot sync - no date book, address, memo pad or to do list updates have gone to or from the CLIE.
I am obviously doing something wrong. Can anyone tell me what I should do? In the meantime, I am using the MS backup in case I run out of batteries.
And one more thing - does the CLIE's HOLD function turn the thing off, or is it burning more battery than when I use the regular power button?:o
