The iPaq 3975 comes built-in bluetooth wireless technology. At my college they are using the 802.11b wireless technology. Can this iPaq connect to their network or do i have to buy a separate CF WiFi card?

Can this iPaq connect to their network or do i have to buy a separate CF WiFi card? kb244 01-22-2003, 04:22 PM Wifi or 802.11b is a 2.4Ghtz 11Mbit connection, and is what is the most common standard , so yes the Wifi connection on the ipaq ( and most wifi adapters ) will work in most public places with wireless internet put in. Bluetooth is also a 2.4Ghtz frequency, but is only rated for 30 foot range, and 768Kbit speed. It is more meant to replace serial connections, rather than high speed connections. PDA Street
