Hi, I just purchased a Dell X5 400mhz and am looking forward to receiving it eventually. That said, I've read that it comes with Outlook 2000. I will never install that piece of bloatware garbage on my PC, and prefer to use Outlook Express.

Since I probably won't be able to use Hotsync with OLE according to posts I've read here and elsewhere, what is the deal with Intellisync (which does sync with OLE)? Does Intellisync come with the X5, or is something I need to purchase separately? Just curious, :) .

FYI, I bought the X5 since I'll be using it to keep appointments, work on my languages and play MP3s via compact flash or Microdrive. Hopefully they'll add PCMCIA hard drive support in the near future - would be cool to have quick access to 30-40gb of MP3s to replenish the compact flash with. :)

Well, since you will only use OLE, then you are stuck with "purchasing" intellisync from Pumatech.

I wouldn't go looking to much for PCM hard drive support. First the X5 has to get PCM support... Just copy from the PC, easier that way anyway.
