Has anyone else experienced this?

Three times since I bought my Clié on 7-4-02, I've noticed the time it keeps jump forward about 10 minutes. This usually happens right after an alarm is acknowledged (either by snoozing it or jumping to it.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Is the time it jumps to wrong. Im just asking because when I turn my 70V on for the first time of the day it jumps too. I still keeps time but the screen refreshes when you turn it on. It also takes a few seconds to refresh because it is also checking your system out as well ( you know the normal routine when you first boot up your computer) Well if the time jumps after the unit has been off for a while and comes awake via operator or alarm it will refresh to the correct time.

If it is not the right time for you then you might have a software problem, but I hope its just refreshing because I hate it when things give you the wrong time when you need it the most:mad:

With my clie, it keeps time correctly (internally), but I've noticed that the time on the bottom-right hand corner of the screen does not update within certain applications (like action names). I've noticed that it has been off as much as a half an hour.

When I leave the program and go to the applications screen, it will update to the correct time.

It may be because I'm using screens on the bottom. It may just be a clie thing.

Thanks for the reply, fearlessfozz.

No, the approximate 10 minute jump makes it ahead of the correct time by about 10 minutes. I've noticed the slight wait before the time shown on the display updates when you first turn on the unit, and that isn't the jump I'm talking about.

The time shown in both places (at the top and in the virtual graffiti area) seem to synchronize and always match each other when both are shown.

I use A LOT of alarms, maybe 2 or 3 a day, and like I said, I've only noticed the jump ahead happen 3 times. It usually happens when an alarm has gone off when the PDA wasn't with me and I missed it. When I turn the PDA on it jumps ahead and once I acknowledge, snooze or go to the alarm, it stays 10 minutes ahead of the right time.

If it were happening more often it might be a problem. Since I always wear a watch, it isn't a huge deal.

Thanks for the replies!
