Maybe I am trying to run before I can walk, but I noticed an interesting piece of software for the Revo which seemed to be suggesting that it would allow me to store all my mobile phone numbers without the effort of typing them all in.
Having had the misfortune to lose a mobile I am aware of how invaluable it would be to have them all available for backup.
My question to you all..............how do I use the software, as the trial download does not appear to come with instructions, and my search on Google is failing to offer the information I require.

You must ensure that your Serial connection is set to off, else the IR port will not be able to talk to your phone.

Go into preferences and set up a profile for your phone model - an IR port on your phone is essential of course.

For any further questions about this software, I suggest you post on the forums at the author's site, www.zenobyte.com

If you just need a fairly straightforward method of storing numbers from your cellphone and being able to dial them from your Psion, then the Revo's own "Phone" application does a reasonably good job, quick and simple. It might be enough for you, and will save you 15$!

Same comments as diem's about the IR port apply, of course.

Obviously Phoneman has a lot more features, which you may or may not need, and it takes a bit more getting to grips with. You did say something about not running before you can walk! ;)

Thank you Julie..............think you have grasped my requirements which is not the esoteric features of Phoneman (specially as I canna make head nor tales of em).
What I want to be able to do is download my numbers in my mobile phone to my Revo.
Would you possibly advise how to do this as I cannot workout how to even conect my phone to my Revo.

Sincere thanks for all your efforts

I don't know very much about Nokia phones - I'm an Ericsson fan - but as far as I can tell the 3330e doesn't have an infrared port, which rather makes this a non-starter, I'm afraid. :(

Perhaps someone who is more familiar with the Nokia phones can put me straight if I'm wrong on this one.

Cathy,

It is a Nokia3330e As far as I know the 3330 cannot be connected to other devices such as computers, either for connecting 'data' calls or for phonebook management. It tends to be the models designed principally for business use which have these facilities and they normally also have an infrared port to communicate with a computer.

Sorry :(
