nokia 6310i sound volume

sorry to ask a non palm question but i know a few members of this board have upgraded from a 6210 to a 6310i.

have you noticed the volume of the ring tones & especially the alarm are much lower on the 6310, or do i have a faulty phone?

Andy: I upgraded to my 6310i from a Motorola Timeport, so I can't give a comparison from other Nokia phone products, however in my office we have open plan (think cubicles without the walls). Several people in my area have Nokia phones, and everyone one of us has the volume cranked to the highest level. Anyway, long story short, when my phone rings, I see a bunch of people reaching for then b*tching at me to change my ring tone, and/or lower my rign tone volume :D

Have you compared your phone with one in a store, just to see if its your phone?
