One thread I am very sorry to see disappear is the one on Expandsys' conversion for Series 7 to Netbook.
I looked up the Expandsys site and saw nothing!
I followed the discussions with some interest as my poor old 7 is getting overloaded with graphic and display software as well as my 'road warrior' requirements like expense tracking, Opera, etc, etc.
I would also like to look at some of the other features that netbook has, but don't really want to replace the 7 if possible.

Question 1 - where can I find out more about the replacement module?
Question 2 - will it make a 7 into a netbook or just make it seem less like a 7?

Thanks for the free flow of info in the past, hope the new format doesn't stifle anything
Fred

1 - Expansys had the netBook personality module available for pre-order at a very reasonable price apparently, which had me surprised because I thought Psion would never make them available. There is no other source of them that I know of; I can't imagine a 3rd party company would consider it viable to reverse engineer them.

2 - The personality module tha Expansys will be selling entirely turns your 7 into a netBook - the motherboard is identical (except for the earliest models). If you have the 16MB upgrade for your 7, you will unfortuantely not be able to use it.

Hi Fred,

Have just posted an update on the dedicated 7 forum now. Expansys have written back to me with some additional details.
