I know the Mako/Revo battery problems have been well documented, but I have not been able to find a solution to my problem.

I've had my Mako since April, it worked fine for 3 months and then the problems started. I've tried all the hard reset and recharge methods as well as the battery recover method by Kevin Millikan and the problem keeps returning.

After my latest hard reset and recharge for >6 hours (until charging icon stopped moving), my Mako continues to shut off with high percentage remaining on battery (>70%) when opening programs or transferring data to/from my PC.

The latest episode occurred at 70%, I recharged (fast recharge lasted > 30 minutes before switching to trickle charge). After the charging icon stopped, the shut off problem happened again, this time at > 90%.

If the Mako is left on without use until the battery drains, the Mako stays on for > 8 hours.

Any help that could correct this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to recall reading that there is a file somewhere in the Revo that keeps track of the battery condition/charging or whatever.

If you have a problem with the battery and have to perform a hard reset to sort it, restoring from backup will reintroduce the defective battery settings.

.....just don't ask me where the file is because I've no idea
