I got my order in for one and the price is $455 plus shipping from TVNAV.com. You can preorder and then when it arrives they will ship it immediately. They are currently talking about an expected April Ship Date. There is more information on the iQue 3600 at the http://www.palminfocenter.com/view_Story.asp?ID=4825#73343 You can also sign up for their newsletter.

Congradulations! Very jealous. I wonder how reroute and map detail compares to Streetpilot III. I hope they didn't comprimise detail to fit the maps in. And I especially hope they improved reroute. If the first reviews are favorable, I'll probably order one plus 256MB data card.

So, this unit can be preordered for $455. Interesting. Since Garmin puts MSRP close to $600, my educated guess is that big retailers will put it on sale for $499. With 10%-15% discount (pretty common around big holiday sales), this unit can be had for under $450. If it is as good as the initial reviews tell us, this price is pretty reasonable for a hot new toy. Don't you think?

The Minimum Advertised Price for the iQue 3600 is $549. I don't think you'll find "big retailers" pricing it below that. The price quoted above was not an 'advertised' price, but the price available by email or putting the item into an online 'shopping cart'. I have only seen one online store offer it for less than TVNAV, and they beat that $455 by less than a dollar.

$549 is also a "round number", from big retailers' persepective. Makes sense to me. I think $50 or $100 MIR will be available shortly after the release.

No mail in rebate for a new unit! Garmin doesn't work that way. As far as pricing goes the $549 will be the price as advertised at most major stores. The price that is less than that is from discounters online primarily. The lowest price is always available from us!
