54x and transcriber ?

Looking at buying a used unit to save some dough.

I have used the transcriber feature on a variety of units down at Best Buy etc. I really like it.

Does the HP Jornada 547 and/or 548 come with transcriber or just the character recognition section at the bottom thats split into sections ?

I really like being able to write across the entire screen and do not want to buy a handheld if I cannot.

Will the Jornada 547/548 let me do this ?

The short answer is "Yes". The program isn't preloaded though, it's on the CD that comes with the PDA (or there's a link to it and it's free). But... it doesn't work universally with all applications you may wish to add to your PDA later.;)
