Hi there
Does anyone know how to fix a corrupt User Data file (Mac OS9) ?
When opened it gives an error, #-40 and then offers a Quit button.
The problem started today after syncing from the handheld, and I suspect that the handheld contains corrupt data in the To Do list which caused the problem.
Here is the situation:
1. The Palm Desktop data is the most up-to-date (but can't be opened!)
2. I created a blank User Data file with the intention of importing the data from the PDA.
3. The Palm PDA will only complete sync to Palm Desktop if the To Do list is set to 'Do Nothing'
4. The To Do list can be synchronised by itself, but stops with an error. Some To Do list items are being transferred.
