A user of mine is coming from Blackberry to a Palm m125 and could like a compact keyboard attachment. Not the ones that unfold, but the thumb pads like the blackberry has.
Can anyone recomend one or tell me of a place that i can compare? PDASTREET's palm hardware section doesn't have any listed...

Found one from Targus that seems to fit the bill.

they all look like they would give you hand cramps that would make you cry if you had to enter anything longer than a few lines

I agree. These small keyboards are not for writing long documents and things like that. If you will be typing a lot, you should look into a folding full-size keyboard.

I also agree, ive been using a portable keyboard for a few months and its just as good as a laptop for notes

Although i was looking for a keyboard attachment for the palm for someone else, i am a RIM 6710 user. I can thumb type faster then my IT co worker types on a normal computer.
Just like piano, once your hands become used to the keys, it's just as easy, and i don't need to lug other stuff around to enter data quickly. No unfolding or setup, just pull the berry out and away i type.

I just got a folding keyboard from ebay. From what I hear, they're just as fast as desktop keyboards. It should help me take REALLY fast notes in class.

I'm curious. What program will you be using to take notes in class?

I just use Word To Go. Works flawlessly.

I have used Docs to go in the past, but I now use Wordsmith. It is a much easier to use program, and it doesn't take up as much memory. It also serves as a doc reader.
I saw a thumb board at Circuit City that works on a Palm M130. It was about $30.00, I think.
Hope this helps.
