Dear Sir

I am trying out Facer 1.4 and believe it could be improved further. I liked "Today"
for its user interface. BUT I prefered Facer more for the
appointment/to-do and launcher interfacer. I can't find other such programs.

I noticed there's still alot of "footprints" that could be utilised.

1 - place the day/date info next to the Launcher icon before the time display (use
3-letter code for day; eg. MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT, SUN)

2 - replace the current day/date info position with owner info instead

3 - replace the "recent" option with an icon when "show favorite app in one line"
is chosen and place it next to the battery/memory icon. This will also allow the
icon to be displayed when the default option is selected. When in launcher mode,
the "recent" icon can still be accessed.

4 - Still in the launcher mode, the tools display still have plenty of space - move
the device info into the tools preferences screen

5 - in the Device Info screen (apps) allow launching application by tapping on it;
better still if you can incorporate "Filez" (from nosleep.net) features.

6 - Preferences can be accessed through the Menu as well as the Tool icon in Launcher
mode. This is a duplicate!

7 - in Menu->Option view replace Appointment and Todo View to a single option and
put them together on one screen.

PROBLEMS:

- the battery icon shows memory left as 3.3 Mb left; whereas the Info icon shows
Free memory: 3701 KB
Ram Size: 8192 Kb
Rom Size: 1981Kb

Why the discrepancy

- The hardscroll button does not work in Device Info -apps

- The recent application repeats recent apps. Duplicate apps should not show.

I hope my input will further enhance such a nice and VERY useful application.

Sincerely,
Ilias Yusoff

PS I am using Handspring Visor Edge (grayscale)

Thanks for your comments. I know you are trying to look smart by giving me a
long list of bullshit to show my programmers. But I'm certainly am not
impressed.

Hello Mr. Othmann,

Wow!!! What a long list of wishes you have. Hmm... might change a lot in
Facer.

I am not talking on the behalf of Facer, but I'd like to give you my
thoughts. We have worked really hard on this programme and we really cannot
please everyone. We will keep in mind the long list of wishes by Fans and
Critiques of Facer, but only implement changes if they'll improve Facer. I
like the way you are 'lecturing' me about how I should be improving the
programme. In case you don't know, our programmers received formal computing
degree at the best university in UK that offers it! I'm sorry for being a
bit rude, but your long critique I do find quite insulting considering we've
been working on this for more than 100 hours a week for months.

Anyway, if you like Facer, accept the whole package. If you don't, I can't
force you. :)

Thanks for your interest anyway.

Meriza
Marketing Director

LOL..what a lamer. You basically sent him a VERY long list of bugs. Any developer that responds like that isn't worth supporting. Go with some other launcher.I use Zlauncher.

Its hard to belive anyone in marketing would be that rude to a customer or potential customer. its just bad business. better to say nothing at all if you cant be nice about it. forward a copy of the email to azrul@pocketcraft.com ,he is the head cheese whiz there, and see what happens.
