OZ-9500 External Power (Voltage & PIN Polarity)

I am trying to avoid having to buy the optional battery case and trying to save the existing operating batteries at the same time by using an external AC to DC transformer (I have VERY many of these and would like to put them to work).

Has anyone been down this road before, and if so, what should be the transformed output DC voltage AND the polarity of the pin?
