I have been using my IPaq (running CE3) for a while on NT4 Service Pack 5 with ActiveSync 3.1 and Outlook 98 with no problems.
The other day i applied service pack 6a for NT and i now get the following when trying to connect - "Synchronization cannot be started because you are not able to log onto the network and access information. Restart your desktop computer and synchronize again. If the problem persists, contact
your network administrator." I have checked this out on the web and Microsoft have a solution (Q243029) but this refers to problems when upgrading to Outlook 2000.
I have not upgraded to 2000 but i am guessing that the service pack did affect the MAPI32.dll referred to in the article, but i can not work out what to do about it (short of going to Outlook 2000 which is not really an option at the moment). I have tried going to ActiveSync 3.5 and reestablishing the relationship with no success.
Can anyone offer some suggestions?
