Hello, I have been searching and looking and have not been able to find anything on "wired" NICs and this IPAQ. I have found a lot of info on this IPAQ and Linux and how people were able to get this NIC to work. But I want to use the PocketPC 2002 OS. I have contacted IPAQ and though the rep was nice, he could not offer any suggestions on what NIC other than wireless to use. My home network is not wireless and I do not plan to make it so for some time.

Here is the info on this NIC:

I am still waiting to hear from NETGEAR.

The NIC connectivity lights come on (which is usually a good sign), but I cannot connect.

If anyone has this model IPAQ and has been able to get a "wired" NIC to work, please tell me what you bought and if there are any tricks to it?

Much appreciation for anyone's time and ideas as I am tired of looking through the internet.

Thanks.

I don't think netgear card is compatible with CE device. There are plenty of other cards that work with ipaq, some even work without additional driver. Most of Socket cards work with ipaq. Here's some info on it, it's a bit old but still relevant.

Thanks for the link. Maybe to help others out there is one of those companies that specifically states Pocket PC 2002 support:

Socket Communications

10/100 Ethernet CF Card (http://www.socketcom.com/product/EA2912-325.asp)

Low Power Ethernet PC Card Solution (http://www.socketcom.com/product/EA0911-336.asp)
