Play wav files on alarm

I just downloaded the SynSndHack and Hack master. Have gone through the setup process correctly. Can't get the sounds recongnized.

Does anyone have a step by step answer.

I have created a director per the instructions on CF and put the correct size files that come with the app so that all checks out. Hackmaster is enabled as well as SynSndHack. It is supposed to work from what I have been told.:(

Are you using wav files in the proper format?

I believe you want/need:
8bit mono with a sampling rate of 22040Hz (22KHz)

For the HE330: you may be able to use a sample rate up to 33KHz (but still must be 8 bit mono)

Yes, I am. In fact I am using the samples that came with the hack which are for the TRG Pro.

What seems to be missing is the ablility for the palm to recongnize the sounds from the card. It is like I need the palm to be told to go look there first. At least that is my thinking. I am a novice.

I haven't tried this hack for a long time...

OK. Just so you know I installed XMaster today instead as I heard it was more stable than Hackmaster and completely compatible. That hasn't helped either.

Hopefully, if you try it again you can walk me through it.

It is version 0.3, maybe needs more work...

The .wav files do play properly with voice recorder, so they probably are not the problem.

Turned system sound on, then generated confirm messages in a few apps. Nothing.

Not certain how to trigger other sounds...I normally DON'T like sounds, except for meeting alarms and such.

maybe you should drop a line to developer?

Yes. I have tried to contact the man and he has not responded. He did for the first two requests, but when I told him it was not working I didn't hear from him again. Perhaps, he just hasn't gotten back to me yet.

I have been speaking with others about this and they are going to try it like you have to see if they get the same response from the palm.

It does not work with standard palm devices.

Yes I am referring to the trg pro when I say palm. It will be interesting to see what others find.
