Soon I will be out of my Sprint Contract from when I bought my Samsung i300. Though I love my i300 and can't live without it, I have been getting a little jelous of the features of the new smartphones. Since I will be out-of-contract, I can sign-up for any service I guess (though Sprint is offering the best deal). But I wounder, who the heck is Alltel? I never heard of them. And moreover is the soon-to-be i500 just as good as the 7135? My Samsung really only lacks expandability, bluetooth, and MP3 / MPEG playback. I couldn't care less whether a phone "flips" or not. I once had a toy dog that flipped and I wasn't impressed......
What's special on the i500?
What's special on the 7135?
Bluetooth?

the 7135 is a joke. alltel comm is the old 360 comm based in the carolinas with service ranging just about everywhere.
sprint also offered the 7135 but it was too bulky heavy and just plain a joke.wasnt this also monochrome, not color?
as for the i300 i still use one and will not even think about upgrading to the 1330 for an extra 8mb and pcs vision(another joke)_its just a waste of $500

as for the i500, hold your breath for a little while longer, i just got my prototype yesterday and it is still not working yet (check my profile and you can see i have a qualified opinion on this)
priced at $799 right now its just not worth it.
maybe if it was $499-599.

COMPLETELY DISREGARD the post above. I, too, have a I300 and know the various Smart Phones fairly well. The 7035 IS NOT the phone described above. That is the 6035. The 7035 is FULL COLOR and has everything that the I500 has AND MORE. Expansion Slot (for various things such as memory and PROBABLY a Bluetooth card) and an integrated MP3 player.

I have been watching for either the I500 --or-- the 7035 to come out (with a REAL carrier).

Quick correction:

The Kyocera models are 6035 and 7135 as described above. Not 6035 and 7035.

yes you guys are right and i am am sorry for the confusion as to the kyocera,

as for the i500 this is exclusive only to sprint, i am currently using one now.

i now have seen an operational 7135 and yes it is a great phone/pda
however half of the apps it the unit are old software, and comming out of the box it needs several upgrades. mybe a minor querk?
