OK I’ve heard some people talking about overclocking their palms and seen a lot of programs that say that they speed up PDAs but what’s the best way to go as far as that also is there any “Disk compression” type software around. I still have to wait about a year before I can get a newer model than my M100 I want to make the most of it that I can for now.

Use FastCpu to overclock you Palm, but it will only speed up the internal memory... not your SD card. As for compression.. use a program called Hand Zipper to zip your files away on your SD card.. works like winzip.

m100 doesn't have expansion card.

I personally have a m100 and I use X-master extension manager and Afterburner 3.0. X-master is freeware, i think, and Afterburner is shareware. For a m100, this setup is perfect. It takes a 19mhz dragonball ez processor and puts it at 30mhz. Trust me, it makes a big difference. And about upgrading, don't worry, there are still a lot of things that a m100 can do, and even a palm III at that! When you do upgrade, I suggest color and an expansion slot. Ya know, if you get another palm in a year, the m515 will be low enough in price, so you might want to eye that m515 up, LOL!

I think you are able to specify different CPU speeds for different apps in Afterburner.

The most common problems with overclocking are can't sync and no IR. Turning the speed down makes them work again.

You can also try QuickBits. Seems to work well without affecting IR and HotSync. Review:

QuickBits has a free trial period, so you can try before you buy.

Kyraxx-

Are you aware that you can find an M130 for under $200 these days? Couse even that may be too much for you to spend right now... I can relate;)
