Well... I decided to come to the pocket pc world from a palm nirvana... and I'm wondering what the PC stands for... but I digress.
Here's the thing. I have one of the new h1910's. When I have an alert set to pop up for a meeting the alert will wake up the unit, and may or may not paint the alert window (about 40% of the time)... and then just sit there, light on draining the battery until I do a soft reset.
Thinking there was something wrong, I called HP... they sent me a new one... unpacked it yesterday, put my schedule back on it... froze this morning. This is completely unacceptable.
HP threw out some garbage about the items it was trying to alert me to might be corrupting the alerter... nice idea... but the thing that hung me this morning was an alert I created on the PPC last night, with the contents of "Test"... and never did I sync it... so that shoot's that theory.
Any other ideas?
I'm about 3 lockup / soft resets away from going back to the heavily pixilated world of a limited use Palm device for simple alerts and alarms.
