i705 Sockets

Does the NetLib support the wireless modem on the Palm i705?
If not how do we use Berkley type sockets on this device?

It seems reasonable to assume that the NetLib is active and available to the modem but I don't think the wireless system is sophifticated enough to support the half association necessary to establish a connection.
