Voice Stream stinks in Westchester, New York

I want to be a treo, but voice stream services does not appear to be very good in my new home area. Are there any other cell phone companies that work on the treo?

Sprint, Cingular and if you wanna buy an un-activated Treo, I hear it works well with AT&T.

What have you heard about Sprint & Cingular and cell phone service providers. I have heard that Sprint is fine as long as you are on their network. Apparently, if you are not on their network, it is a fortune. I think Cingular uses, at least for now, the same towers as Voice Stream. Does Verizon have any deals with Palm or Handspring?
