I use HPC Notes standard verion (integrated into MS Outlook 2000 notes) and connect via VPN to our Exchange server for most of the day. When I try to connect and sync my HP5455 PPC, the HPC notes portion of the sync process takes 20 -30 minutes. If I disconnect from VPN and close and re-open Outlook as an off-line connection, then HPC notes only takes about 5 minutes. I synce my PPC via USB. All other items sync within seconds.
My question is Does anyone know why it takes so long to sync HPC notes and is ther a fix for this. I am using the most current version of HPC notes standard for PPC (commercial version).
I even received a call one day from our IT manager in Dallas telling me that my connection was taking the entire VPN down. I had to un-check the HPC notes in the sync options while online and now have to reverse the process each time I connect and sync off-line. Any thoughts ?
