I recieved my cradle from a buddy of mine who ordered it for me with his purchase. I received it 2 days ago about a week after I received my 300MHZ Axim. Problem is when I plug the Cradle into the USB port and then put the Axim in to sync, XP's plug and play sees the device, the active sync starts up, BUT it comes back with a critical connectivity error that says I need to restart windows to clear.... I restart and same exact error... then the next time it says the same error then tells me that the IP address isn't matching up and that I need to restart again... Well restarting never helps my problem. Then I try to sync with my regular USB cable and it gives the same error... Restart a few times and same thing.... removed active sync from my computer and reinstalled..same thing... eventually after enough restarts and hardboots my computer can see my axim through the cable but never the cradle... same error... I'm going in circles here, any info or tips would be much appreciated!!!! thanks

Got it working finally. Seems there was an IP mismatch by adding the cradle afterwords. (I would think that the cradle would just be a passthrough for the Axim itself but I guess not). Anyway, after all the restarts and removing and reloading activesync.... a softreboot on the Axim fixed the problem. I guess after the soft reboot, activesync establishes a new IP set for the device. Anyway... if anyone else gets a critical communication error, don't pull your hair out for 2 hours, soft reset and hopefully you'll be fine.... Peace........
