I purchased an IPAQ 1910, but I'm now thinking about exchanging it for a Dell Axim X5. Seems like the Dell has a lot more capabilities and is close to the same price as the IPAQ. Is that a wise decision or should I keep the IPAQ?

my boss just got a dell and he is not too thrilled with the screen size. I am a compaq man from servers down to handhelds, so I'd stick with the ipaq. additionally, compaq has been doing this for several years now and dell is the nkotb. a year from now, a dell may be a better idea.

I also purchased an h1910 and I love it. I also looked at the Axim because of its great price, but overall rating at zdnet was not as good as the h1910. I love how clear the ipaq screen is, plus the size won me over. The latest issue of PocketPC mag has an article on if Dell will survive with the Axim.

Do a search on bouth and get as much info you can before you make your choyce, I have a 3835, and I love the the 1910, but there are trade offs, What stops me from getting one is the 1910
only has a SD slot and it only uses it for memory,so you wont be able to use any add on stuff like GPS or cameras. The Axim has a SD and a CF slot but I thin it has less memory. So if you want a small powerfull PDA with just the PIM features with a great screen
the 1910 would be great, but if you want to do alot more with you pda the Dell might be the answer.

The 1910 also doesn't have serial port, so you can't even use a serial GPS receiver.
