iPAQ 5450 Biometric Question

Can someone that has a 5450 tell me if the biometric support software in on ROM or on CD as a separate install file?

I am interested in finding out if this software is available separately and can be used on other iPAQ's use a different PC card Biometric fingerprint scanner?

I got 5450. From what I know the software installed on the ROM. And I don't think I can find the software on the CD come with the iPAQ.

The biometric software actually third party. But, I am not sure you can use it with the other PDA. You need to check it with the software vendor.

i just look into my 5450 - asset viewer. now, i am not sure whether it is a third party or not :(
i didn't have my ipaq with me when i replied previously.
i thought on the asset viewer, i saw the vendor name.

but when i look again, it didn't have the vendor name

Hi,

The software is called Bioswipe and is made by Cogent Systems. You can access their website at www.cogentsystems.com. My 5455 uses version 3.2 and came installed into ROM. It is not on the CD as it is not an optional accessory but rather an integral part of the device.
