m 130 not working off of cradle

My palm m130 is only 1 week old. When I have it on the cradle it works but when I take it off it goes blank(dark screen). It worked great up until now. Help please. Thanks.:confused:

Sorry, I hate to imply that your dumb, but have you turned it on?
If you have do a soft reset.

I did a soft reset already and it didn't help. It can turn it on when it is in the cradle but as soon as I take it off the cradle it turns off.

Is your battery charched?
Can you do a hotsync operation?

I can do a hotsync operation. The palm m130 has been in the cradle for a long time. I did another soft reset but this time I did it when it was in the cradle. That was a mistake because the screen is showing the "palm powered" loco and it is flashing. I can't turn it off!!!!

There is a known problem with new m130s and m515s. Try a hard reset and you should be fine.
