Hot Sync via IR to Toshiba Portege - Help

Hi all,
I am trying to set up my Toshiba Portege running XP to hot sync to my palm M130.
I'm sure there is an easy answer to this, but the M130 seems to have no issue finding the port, but I cannot set up the software on the Toshiba to accept it. Any ideas please?

Can you be a little more specific? Have you installed Palm Desktop? Have you looked through all of the setup options?

On Windows XP, you have to have administrator access in order to HotSync. Could this be the problem?

Problem solved. Thanks for your ideas. I had installed all of the software, but needed to restart the computer and then a hot sync icon appeared in the task bar. From there I was able to allocate the port to IR or others.
I usually use a Mac and have so few difficulties.... Our tech department was not able to help. As I said in my original post 'there IS an easy answer'
