Much as the title says really, somehow the contacts in my Outlook 2000 (running under Windows 2000) have lost half of the contact info in my Series 7, when I sync (using PsiWin 2.3) it doesn't add the missing items from the Psion to Outlook, if I remove all of the contacts in Outlook it simply asks if I wish to delete these on the Psion as well!
So, I have a contacts list on the Psion that I wish to get into Outlook, ideas please.
Thanks
Ian
How about manually delete all your contacts in Outlook, then sync again?

I can see the problem here - when you delete items from Outlook then try to synch, the synchroniser doesn't know whether you intend them to be deleted from the Psion as well. It should offer you the options:
Yes - to delete from the other machine (Psion)
No - to retain items on the other machine
Cancel - to stop the synch
If you select "No" at this point, it should indeed retain them on the Psion AND write them into Outlook. If that's not working it might be worth a fresh start with new files.
Can I recommend that you set up a blank sub-folder of Contacts in Outlook, and make a copy of the Contacts.cdb file on the Psion (or a copy of your Data file if you're using Psion Data), then you can experiment synching between those files without fear of data loss. Post again if you need more help with that.
Finally, just a point - I'm assuming you are using PsiWin 2.3.3? This is necessary if you're working with Win2000. I think you probably are, or else I doubt it would be connecting at all, but I felt it worth a mention.

Thanks for the suggestions, yes I backed everything up before I started playing ;) and I have 2.3.3
When I sync with no contactis in Outlook it gives me the option to remove them from the Psion but not add them to Outlook presumably because it knows I deleted them on the PC.
Emptying the Psion, syncing and then replacing the Contacts in the Psion didn't cause them to be sent to the PC.
In the end I backed up the whole of my Psion folder on the PC, uninstalled PsiWin, reinstalled and synced and all was as it should be.
Thanks
Ian

I've just done a test with dummy files to be absolutely sure. If that didn't work for you, then it seems like everything had got very confused, so a fresh start was probably best. Glad you got it sorted.
PS sorry for posting in the wrong forumNo worries - we just like to have a tidy up every so often. ;)

What you should check in outlook when you want to synch is if the fields that are synchet are the same as you use on the psion, I mean check the fields like name etc. there should be plenty options left you can fill out yourselve.
