3970 & bluetooth & synch to laptop

I am really new to the 3970 (3 days). I want to Synch the programs & info between the 3970 & my laptop using bluetooth. I don't seem to be able to get ActivSync to recognise the bluetooth connection.

Any advise would be appreciated
