I'm trying to hotsync my date book in palm with my calendar in Outlook. The hotsync appears to go through all the right steps, but once it's finished, I look at the log on my zire and the log lists expense, memo pad, etc, but Date Book is not listed in the log at all.

I clicked on the hotsync icon in the startup bar (bottom right of my desktop screen) and clicked Custom to make sure that the Date Book is setup to sync to the Calendar, and next to Date Book, sure enough, it says "Syncronize the files".

I don't know what else to try. Anyone out there have any ideas? The rest of the info is syncing just fine, but the date book isn't.

Please help!

I know this sounds like a "canned technical support" reply, but you probably need to reinstall your Palm Desktop. Just make sure you do a hotsync first and create a backup file.

You don't mention if you have set the preferences to have the palm overwrite the desktop or vice -versa. If you want to check, right-click on the hotsync icon, and select custom. If the palm is overwriting the desktop, I can't imagine how you could get any desktop software to write an update to your palm. Try changing the setting to let your desktop overwrite the palm, and see if you get the updates you are looking for. Let me know if this works, because I haven't tried to use outlook to update my calender, but I will if you can make it work.

You're most likely missing your Datebook conduit. The only way to get the back is to install Palm Desktop again.

To find this:
Hotsync Manager (bottom right corner of your computer screen)>Custom: This is where you'll find your conduits.
