Hi,

In Desktop Excel, I can press "ALT+Return" to insert a line return within a cell. And the format is retained in Pocket Excel. But Is there a way to do it in the Pocket Excel? I tried "Alt" and "Return" but it is no use.

Thanks, Chi

Chi,

I have inserted lines in pocket excel by tapping on the line number, going to the format menu and selecting Insert Cells.

I hope this answers your question!

Hi,

I mean inserting a carriage return "within the cell". In Decktop Excel, when you hit "return", it will go to the cell down. If you hit "Alt+Return" it will insert a line in the cell (so actually the cell height will double). The document from desktop Excel when converted into Pocket Excel is retained. I can cut and paste the "line return" character inside Pocket Excel and can not find a easier way to do it.

Thanks, Chi

I think CJH is asking whether or not you can insert multiple lines within a single cell, like in the desktop version where ctrl-return and ctrl-tab insert spacing within a single cell.
