3440 battery owners reply please

is there a doubling in battery life with the 3440 battery as opposed to the standard battery with axim

I use my device about 10-12 hours listening to music/notes/lectures etc. It is always on for 10-12 hours

I think im going to get it but not sure if its worth it

I think it would be nice just to pop it in in the morning and not have to worry all day about my battery

let me know about your experiences with it if you can

I get meter results of 4-5 hours with the 1440 but the big battery gives me a battery meter over 10 hours. I never use it that long anyway but it's there if I need it. It is really handy on the road when you can't get back to a charger.

Here are my personal thoughts on the 3440ma battery. I returned it because it was too bulky and heavy. It costs twice the price of the regular battery and does offer twice the power. Why not just buy another regular battery for $59.95 instead of the extra capacity 3440ma battery for $129.95? The cradle will charge two batteries at once and you can keep the second batery as a back-up when and if it is needed. Thanks. :)

If you use it as a laptop replacement in most situations like I do, the extra batteries are great. I have both an extra 1440 and an extra 3400. I take the 3400 on the road and the 1440 to work as a spare. It is all a pattern of use and what devices you connect to it. Trust me, no such thing as TOO much battery...

thank you for your responses...while the price of the 3440 battery is high when purchased seperately...i am purchasing an additional 300mhz axim for my girlfriends daughter and while customizing the 300mhz the 3440 battery is offered for $99 so i got it.
