Thought you might be interested... I just doenload this free software "Magic Button" from "www.trancreative.com". It changes the X to closing the program, shows battery status, shows all program running etc. Check it out, works great on my iPaq h1910.

Question....
Does it save the work before it closes?

Yes, it does. The only funny thing so far is the battery status bar does not seems to be scaling with the one shown in the setting. Not a problem, the battery status bar can be disabled anyway.

Nice idea, but I am now unable to uninstall the program. It says that it is running, (not) or is read only...any thoughts.....The idea is a good one but I find that video and games become choppy, but I like the close everything concept.

When I have stubborn programs on the ipaq that won't uninstall i usually do a soft reset, to ensure they are not running (regardless of what the ipaq reports). Then try Remove Programs on the ipaq and then try Tools>Add/Remove Programs in Activesync on the PC. Certain apps also need to be removed using Add/Remove on the PC before they can be successfully reinstalled.

I ran into the same problem. The program isn't as good as I wished, and I had to uninstall the progam from the PC, since the Ipaq refused.
I've gone back to the program "Close all" which I like the best.

CHI, don't be discouraged because we didn't like the program you posted. I still rather try something than not. So keep those posts coming.
