Hey there!
Is there a board somewhere that has more "activity" for MobilePro handhelds? Doesn't seem like there's a lot going on here.....
Anyone?
Anyone?
Bueller?

Basically, those who have a MPs are happy with them and have figured them out.
The real questions come from those buying older machines on EBay and still in the learning curve.
Software is pretty limited, but the machine with its built in software pretty much fulfills everyones needs.
I've sold all my MPs...had a 770, then 780, and finally the 790. Am waiting for the NEC news release in March to find out about their new unit to be released...
Am currently tossing the idea about purchasing a Fujitsu P1000 that runs WinXP over another CE device....
Have a question...ask it...someone will answer.

This group did used to be a lot more active, but that started to fizz out a little and then this site changed their forums software out of the blue and that seemed to chase a lot of people away. I know the IBM z50 group here used to be VERY active, but now they don't even have a z50 forum! Of course, it doesn't help the problem when we own one of the worst marketed devices on the planet -- one that seems to be rapidly becoming an orphanned platform while all the bleating sheep go the route of the Palm form factor (via PocketPC or genuine Palm). Personally, I can't get along with a keyboard, and haven't found a Palm or PocketPC that comes anywhere closet to doing what I can do with my MobilePro, so I won't start bleating any time soon.
You want to see something really dismal, take a look at the download section for H/PCs. There haven't been any good programs released (whether freeware, shareware, or commercial) for this form factor in years.

Ever since the new owners of this website took over and dropped, then changed these H/PC forums .... the volume of activity has taken a dramatic turn for the worse.
The same is true of the H/PC & H/PC Pro software download sections. They use to feature several new or updated titles biweekly, but that has come to a sad halt. Why would any software developer want to sell his H/PC software on a site that obviously caters to Palm & Pocket PC users!
If you want to see where all of the H/PC software went, check out Handango.... their H/PC downloads are still very active. :D
Sadly- I hardly ever venture on to this site anymore - wish things were different, but you can't undo what has been done.
