I have the Sony PEG-NR70V/U Clie, and I am searching for a program for it which will allow me to see maps, and plot directions, etc. I have seen an excellent program on the pocket pc, but can not find one that will run here. I tried Advantgo, but it will not display maps (I dont know why)...

If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great!!

Try Mapopolis.com. Its a subscription based mapping software. They also have demos to try out. Well worth it!!!!!

Delorme sells a brand new software package for about $40 that is compatible with palm os. It is a street atlas and so far I have seen it at staples or you might be able to buy it from the delorme web site.

Thanks for the suggestions, yesterday, I downloaded mapopolis...bought my local map...and was very frustrated with trying to locate my street on it. I put in the name of the street, but it said no matches found...yet, when I looked at the map, it was clearly identified...so, I'm not thrilled with that one.

This morning, I went to look at the XMap® Handheld Street Atlas at Amazon, and the review of it were terrible...

So, I guess I'm not the only person looking for a good program!!

Thanks, lets keep looking!!!

Try Rand Mcnally's StreetFinder USA. It's for the PC and lets you make custom maps of your area, including points of interest, restaurants, etc. that you export to your Palm.

That's funny, I was just looking at Rand McNally Streetfinder® for Palm OS Handheld when I saw your reply. Do you have any experience with it? The reviews are only so-so.

I've had great experience with it. The only drawback than some of the others such as Solus and Quo Vadis is that sometimes the larger maps you create sometimes take a little longer to load if they're much more than 1mb big. But it more than makes up for it with features like the Points of Interest which it lets you find.
