What exactly does the Dell warrenty cover? My Axim has started to making a really annoying high-pitched buzz (like most electronic equipment does, but louder). It's gotten to the point where I get a headache from it after a while. I can hear it from about 4-5 feet away.

Will Dell replace it for me? A guy I work with seems to think Dell will ship me a new (or refurb) one, and let me send mine back. What do you think?

When you call they will ask you to do a few things, jump hoops, swallow swords of fire, etc (just kidding) and if nothing works, they will send you a NEW one and want your back in return after you get the pretty shiney new one...

That is what the term "Advanced Exchange" means in the warranty.

If your unit is more than 30 days you will receved a refurb. unit. I have one & is working good. I love it. Good look. :D

I had the same issue, the dang thing squeeled like a pig. After dealing with 2 tech people who hardly spoke English (they will make you soft and hard reset, turn on and off under different scenarios, etc.) then they will pull the "let me see if I can hear it through the phone" crap. That is when I blew up on them and they instantly agreed to send me a new one.

Good luck, and if they give you too hard a time, just reference that it is not a unique issue and it has happened to others!!

Well, they made me do a hard reset, but they're sending me a replacement within 2-3 days. Not too much of a hassle.

Charging the replacement now. They sent the entire unit, including both batteries, charger, stylus, and the case.
