I'm upgrading my system from NT4 to NT5 (Win2000 Server). However, Activesync (tried both 3.1 & 3.6) cannot find the PPC (H3650). I've tried running terminal programs on both the PC & PPC & they can "talk" to each other nicely, so hardware isn't the problem.

The strange part is when I run Activesync, a dialog pops up on the PPC that says "Connect to.. '115200 default", so it's seeing data from the PC when Activesync starts & is trying to talk back to it, but Activesync doesn't recognize it.

Is it possible that Activesync just won't work under Win2000 Server, & if so what are my alternatives for synchronizing files? Thanks.

Try dropping the port speeds on the PC and in Active sync on the ipaq. I've found that 57 600 works best.
Also there is a first time serial fix available on HP website.
The fix actually changes the registry on the 2000 machine and forces it to use Com 1, so don't be alarmed that its listed for the 3100/3600 series. I've had this work for many NT boxes on my network.

Thanks. Dropping the connection speed for the 1st connect did the trick. After the initial connection I went back to 115200 & it still works fine now.
