Why does Dial up Connection box appear

Everytime I put my Ipaq H3970 into the cradle when hooked up to the laptop, it immediately pops up the Dial up Connection box, only when I close this down does the sychn process perform.

Everything works OK, but I wanted to know if the appearance of this box was normal? If it isn't, how do I stop it appearing?

Check your active sync settings on the PPC.

Select Active Sync from start menu and coose options. Make sure that the box beside USB Default is checked. If so, then take a look at your connection settings under Settings > Connections > Connections
