new T/T batch

hi,

my friend just bought a T/t and encountered a problem right away.

- the prob: when brightness is adjust to the left most side the screen blinks like it has low power. weve tried several T/T's already but has the same problem.

anyone could help. thanks

Yes yes.. the "brightness" problem.

Mine requires like 43 "clicks" on the D-pad before any backlight comes on. It's off from 0 to 43 "clicks" - ie. the same as unchecking the enable backlight.

I'm not complaining or anything, the screen is still bright and vivid as ever. It's just a little thing. But if little things bother you, then by all means, go ahead and exchange it.

That's what I did when I bought a brand new Ericsson T28w phone for $300 CDN a few years back, and I found out it was actually.. a used phone (I checked the flip counter in the service menu... :) ). It wasn't a big thing, everything was there, and working.. just that I paid 300+tax and got a used phone.. which really did bug me :p

So, it's really up to you to decide whether its a problem serious enough that you need to exchange your unit.

i realyy dont know if its with the new batch only. but, weve tested like 5 units already. fortunately, my friend found a unit that doesnt blink anymore... and well, he's starting to show it off...
