I need information on any software for Pocket PC 2002 Professional that will give you a network screen that requires user authentication and the domain you are trying to access. This connection is through a VPN at my university and they have not had anyone ask this question before. They said it would be possible if the software exists.

Any help would be appreciated.

Very respectfully,

What type of VPN are they running. You need to know that before chossing the software. They may be running Checkpoint, Nortel (bay Networks) or Cisco...and others. May have a Wind 2k ADV Server VPN, who knows. Find that out and do a search in google for "ppc vpn software" and you will get a few choices of software, pick the one that will owrk with the university set up.

You should have a "Help" drop down that will tell you "About" the software that is running. Cisco makes a VPN client to connect to thier hardware based VPN switches just as Checkpoint, Nortel and others do.

If you know what type it is (i.e. Cisco) then you can get the "beta" downloads from several sites and give it a try on your PPC.

Talking to you Network or System admin would be a good idea as most certainly they have rules about how you access the corporate intranet.
