What keyboards do y'all use with your 515? I am thinking of the foldable kind for portability but not sure if when you unfold it I might have a problem with keeping it stiff enough to use without it folding on me. Thanks.

I use the Palm keyboard. If I try typing on my lap, it is a bit flimsy. However, if I have anything approaching a solid surface -- even my briefcase, much less an attache case, it works fine.

With Wordsmith my speed of text entry and formatting approaches that of the desktop. It is probably better than with a laptop computer. (For some reason my hands have never adapted well to laptop keyboards.)

Does the m500/m505 keyboard work with the m515? I could have sworn I read somewhere that it does not, but that would be insane!? I am selling my m500 series keyboard, utahjazz85@yahoo.com if you are interested.

I purchased a 500 series keyboard that I initially used with a M125, then kept when I switched to the M515. It should work with a 500/505 as well.

I use the Palm folding keyboard and find that most of the time it works great. It is not very rigid, but will not fold up on you.

I had a LandsEnd keyboard for my Palm III and loved the fact that it was rigid. I didn't find it a real space consumer in the brief case either as it was thinner that the Palm Keyboard is when folded. The LandsEnd keyboard is not as wide as the Palm and that slowed me down.

I tried one of the new Universal IR based Keyboards, preproduction, and found it too small for me and since the Palm was not really linked to the Keyboard they would slide around in different directions on a plane or a moving lap desk.

I, too, use a Palm folding keyboard and it's great! The one downside (as you allude to) is that unless it's on a somewhat flat rigid surface, it's not particularly stable. But I find that the combination of small size when folded with the full size keyboard and array of key functions more than makes up for that. I, too, use is portably on any reasonably stable surface ranging from airplane fold down tables to a pad folio.
