Question about new vs old palm on same desktop

I'll be getting a new palm i705 (replacing a Vx with wireless modem) in a couple of days when FedEx gets through the snow. Question..I will not be using the Vx anymore (modem doesn't work) so to avoid confusion should I delete all the current Palm files on my desktop?

If so, what is the best way to find them all?

If not, will I be able to tell the files and programs for the new i705 from the old ones for the Vx?

Do you want the data from your Palm Vx on your new Palm i705? When you HotSync for the first time, Palm Desktop will prompt you for your name. Type in the same one that you are using with the Vx. All of your data should be transferred over.

Eric is right on target about using the same HotSync ID if you want all of the data transfered.
Conversly if you do not want the data give the new Palm a new HotSync ID and then nothing of the old will be rolled over.
