I am hoping that I can get some input on some (I think) very simple actions I would like to find the software to solve.
My purpose is to keep from having to open the slider on my TT, unless necessary.
I would like to have the middle button return me to my "home" tab (using Launcher X)
I would like to be able to write directly on the screen for input into my regular apps (Documents to go, Splash suite).
I would like to access the/a querty keyboard at any time with just a pen stroke.
And thats it, not much - but all I need. I get home from work and spend hours just searching and downloading trials to find that they don't work at all, or are just not very compatible with OS5 or my chosen apps. Any help at all would be great.
Thanks, Paul

Try the Palm OS Simulator (not emulator!) on your programs before sending them down to your T.

Try Okey - it lets you use your D-pad to get to the menus in an app w/o opening your slider.

Try NewPen for writing on the screen - some people like Grafitti Anywhere, but I have not tried it.

I like EZ KB for getting the keyboard to pop up - you just click where you want the entry to be & then hit the right button on the D-pad & you get the keyboard.

There is also a program called QLaunch that lets you program the buttons on your TT for different programs or functions so that you don't have to open your slider - I don't use it but a lot of people like it.

The TT forum on Brighthand has extensive discussions about how to avoid using your slider - just do a search there for "slider" or "essential software", etc.

yeah you're right mmmkay;) You'd have to use the simulator.
It would be better to use
the emulator as you can then try out apps such as aeroplayer (which won't work on a simulator becuase it needs the atual TT hardware emulating so it can see it's a TT not just any os5 device) but the emulator isn't compatible with OS5. I hope they soon bring out an emulator that works on os 5...............:)
