Hello everyone,
i have this problem, i bought a Nokia 8390 with GPRS, but it doesnt have a modem built in, and i have an IPAQ3650 upgraded to Pocket PC 2002.

i've been researching for the cheapest and most cost effective way to get online..and my cellphone company wants me to buy a cable kit, plus a data capable phone GSM/GPRS phone, plus subscribe to their data services which is too expensive for me.

what i want is...my ipaq3650 and im planning to buy a nokia communicator to use it as a modem and connect both via infrared....(i know i need to align them and be close together - thats not prob for me)..

my question is..will i be able to do a dial up connections using my ipaq + nokia communicator + my ISP subscription using infrared and using my existing voice subscription from Rogers AT&T (they use GSM)? i read somewhere that i should let Roger's set my account to accept "modem" calls....which i dont think they support....

if this doesnt work. what's the cheapest way to go online wirelessly without doing it thru GPRS....
thanks very much...
